STARS from the UAAP, the NCAA and showbiz gather to help Yolanda survivors in Fastbreak 2, a benefit game on Saturday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
Organized by Ateneo guard Kiefer Ravena, Fastbreak 2 brings together some of the best collegiate basketball players in the country to raise funds for rehabilitation efforts in areas affected by the super typhoon.
Tickets to the event presented by #HelpPH, Smart, Sun and Technomarine are pegged at P100, P200 and P500.
Ravena teams up with celebrities Xian Lim, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford and younger brother and UAAP juniors MVP Thirdy as they go up against a squad bannered by two-time UAAP seniors MVP Ray Parks.
Parks will be backed up by Gerald Anderson, Chris Tiu, Young JV, Ervic Vijandre and Kevin Alas among others.
Fastbreak 2 follows the success of the first Fastbreak event in January 2012, when Ravena spearheaded the fund drive for victims of typhoon Sendong in Mindanao.
A mass to be officiated by Father Tito Caluag will precede the show that includes performances by bands Midnight Meetings and Hansom.
Donations in cash and in kind will also be accepted during the event also supported by Nike, Titan, Jamba Juice, Rain Or Shine, Derulo, Intermatrix, 8 Cuts Burger, Greenwich and Ally's All-Day Breakfast Place.
