COLEGIO de San Lorenzo goes for a repeat over Bulacan State University, looking to gain momentum for its crucial match with solo leader and defending champion Centro Escolar University in the 2nd Universities and Colleges Basketball League at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.
The game is set on Thursday at 2 p.m., with the CdSL Griffins determined to extend their winning streak to six matches that will put them level with the CEU Scorpions (12-1).
The Griffins, coming off a 10-dat break, also hope to get a boost for the match against the Scorpions on Saturday.
“The long break did us good in terms of giving my banged-up players enough time to recuperate.”
“That’s why I’m expecting nothing less that they will take care of our business,” added Garcia.
Clashing in a no-bearing game at 12 p.m. are Technological Institute of the Philippines (4-9) and Lyceum-Batangas (3-10), both eager to close out their respective campaigns on a positive note.
The Engineers made quick work of the Pirates, 83-68, in their previous meeting last Sept. 28 and coach Potit de Vera is urging his wards to work hard to end the stint with a win.
“We failed to meet our expectations for this year but I’m still trying to challenge to do their best. We need to do those little things the right way and that starts with our final game against the Pirates,” he said.
