LANDY Sanjo had 19 points and 19 rebounds as Southwestern University advanced to the semifinals of the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup with a 65-57 victory over Jose Rizal University at The Arena in San Juan.
Mark Tallo also had a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Cobras, who will face the winner of the Far Eastern University-De La Salle showdown on Wednesday.
The Cobras took control of the game when they went on a 22-12 tear in the third period to grab a 51-38 lead.
Philip Paniamogan had 16 points for the Heavy Bombers, who despite the early exit had a relatively impressive campaign in the preseason by finishing 4-2 in the preliminaries.
