Working in the PBA isn't new to Toroman, who took a job as consultant for the Petron Blaze Boosters in 2012.
After getting released a year into a two-year deal with Petron, Toroman went on to join Barako Bull. The partnership lasted less than a year.
He went on to coach the Jordanian national team, several pro ballclubs, and later the Indonesian team from 2019 to 2022.
Toroman was part of the coaching staff of the Indonesian squad that beat Gilas in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold-medal match.
At Benilde, he is expected to work with Blazers coach Charles Tiu, who was part of Toroman's staff at Smart Gilas.
