LYCEUM got back on winning track with a 95-87 victory over Jose Rizal University on Monday in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

Coming off a loss to La Salle last Friday, the Pirates leaned on CJ Perez to register their fourth win in five games

Perez fired 24 points, hitting some key baskets in the final minutes to help Lyceum break free after allowing the Heavy Bombers to pull to within a hairline, and grabbed 12 rebounds to go with two assists.

A bank shot by Jasper Ayaay with 37.6 ticks to go made it 92-85.

Wilson Baltazar added 19 points as the Pirates dealt the Heavy Bombers their first loss in four outings.

"It's all about us really playing together and learning together (from the loss to La Salle). We just brought (the learnings) here to this game," said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson.

Ervin Grospe paced JRU with 21 points, while Darius Estrella and Abdel Poutouochi cobined for 28 markers.
