ADD Cincinnati to the teams wooing 7-foot center Sage Tolentino.
The Hawaii-raised Fil-Am slotman has received a recruitment offer from the Bearcats as they join the laundry list of colleges hoping to land the 16-year-old center.
"I am extremely blessed to get an offer tonight from Coach (John) Brannen at UC. All glory to God," he shared on Instagram on Thursday.
The Bearcats were leading the AAC with their 13-5 record before the outbreak of COVID-19 in the US, and holds a 20-10 overall win-loss card.
Among the products of Cincinnati were 1964 NBA MVP Oscar Robertson, 15-year NBA veteran Kenyon Martin, as well as Nick Van Exel, Ruben Patterson, Danny Fortson, and current Orlando Magic forward Gary Clark.
It joins Kentucky, Kansas, Tennessee State, and Auburn in the list of schools actively trying to lure Tolentino to their campuses.
Currently with East West Private, Tolentino stood out in his final year with Maryknoll High School, posting 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks to carry his side to back-to-back State Championships in Hawaii.
