CHRIS Ellis has been found.
Almost two years since leaving the Philippine basketball scene, the high-flying forward has taken his act to Thailand where he's suiting up for Lao team Luang Prabang.
Ellis, 30, made his debut on Saturday in the Thai Basketball Super League (TBSL), losing to Kabayan, bannered by former Gilas naturalized player Marcus Douthit and 2018 PBA draftee John Ragasa, 83-75, at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Sports Complex.
The former Ginebra stalwart looks in fine form, going up for his signature dunks and registered 19 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and a steal in his first game in the TBSL.
Ellis is a former Slam Dunk Champion in 2013, and was also a part of the champion Gin Kings team in the 2016 Governors' Cup.
He was eventually traded to Blackwater together with Dave Marcelo in exchange for Art dela Cruz and Raymond Aguilar in August 2017.
Ellis never had a chance to suit up for the Elite, though, suffering from acute renal issue before being relegated to the team's reserve list and eventual release.
Also seeing action in the TBSL are Fil-Ams Jason Brickman and Avery Scharer for Hi-Tech Bangkok, former GlobalPort guard AJ Mandani for PEA, as well as Jerick Canada, James Martinez, Ogie Menor, and Jason Melano for Pilipinas.
