CHINOY 3X is staging its first-ever tournament from September 7 to 28 with the 1st Fern Activ-Fern Flex 3x3 Basketball Tournament 2025 at the Philippine Lam An Sports Complex.
A first of its kind in the Filipino-Chinese community, Chinoy 3X features eight teams that will go through a round-robin format tournament, knockout semifinals, and championship with a P10,000 cash prize at stake.
The league also follows a unique eligibility format where players must be 30 years and below. There must be five players on the roster who should have four years of Chinese school education or a minimum 100-percent paternal ethnicity for non-education based eligibility.
A first for Fil-Chi community
The eight teams are RHC Builders, Big Signs Signmasters, Chinoy Golden Dragon, CW Home Depot, Hapi Cow, Kaizen Suites, MC Asia, and Aozi-Moonhey.
The league has Jocas Castillo as commissioners with I-Fern, Bristol Motorcycles, PG Flex, Ready Set Go, Mintex Industrial Supply, Federal Land, and Moon Hey Pot.
The players are Jad Racal, Earl Yu, Jharles Uy, Daniel Manalang, and Kim Cai for RHC Builders; Kimlee Bayquin, Julius Capati, Chris Flores, Rafaelo Toribio, and Jef Go for Big Signs Signmaster; Kleivz Fong, Cedric Ong, Bryle Teng, Ronjie Go, and Sigfrid Apostol for Chinoy Golden Dragon; Carl Yu, Renzel Yongco, Ralph Chua, Heintrick Tan, and LA Nepomuceno of CW Home Depot;
