CHIANG Kai Shek College and Xavier School of Manila will vie for honors in the Bacolod Tay Tung High School 80th Anniversary Basketball Tournament from October 27 to 30.
Also seeing action in the event set at the Po Hang Gym in Bacolod are Cebu Eastern College of Cebu, Hua Siong College and Sun Yat Sen High School of Iloilo and home team Tay Tung High School.
Chiang Kai Shek won the National Basketball Training Center and Metro Manila Basketball League titles.
Cebu Eastern College is also a powerhouse in high school basketball in its region with Far Eastern University big man Raymar Jose as one of its products.
Hua Siong College of Iloilo is the reigning Private Schools Athletic Association champions and will be led by Ralph Penuela and Jr. NBA standout David Umadhay while Sun Yat Sen College is coached by Elvis Atinado, a seven-time Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association titlist.
