    Oct 4, 2017

DEFENDING champion Chiang Kai Shek College drew big games from Jason Celis and Jan Carl Luciano and crushed St. Stephen’s High School, 102-42, in the premier Group A division of the Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) held over the weekend.

The sweet-shooting Celis tallied 25 points while Luciano and Ferdinand Asuncion, Jr. combined for 22 points as the Blue Dragons notched their fifth straight win in the annual tournament sponsored by Freego.

Chiang Kai Shek College, which also downed long-time rival Hope Christian High School, 65-48, a week before, is out to establish a dynasty in the league having won the five previous championships among the Fil-Chinese schools.

Hope Christian redeemed itself from that defeat by crushing Pace, 77-37, thanks to the 21-point performance of Kris Harvey Pagsanjan.

Hope Christian is tied with Manila Patriotic School, which also chalked up its fourth win in five games with a 77-73 decision over Paco Citizen Academy Foundation in the seven-team group elims.
