CHIANG Kai Shek College teams beat Ateneo in two divisions in the Milcu Sports Basketball Summer Showcase at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.
The Blue Dragons defeated the Blue Eaglets, 67-60, in the 16-under division with Kenji Canete scoring with 13 points, pulling down nine rebounds and making two steals.
Calvin Villanueva contributed 11 points, six rebounds and three steals for the CKSC 13-under team, which defeated Ateneo, 51-47.
In the 19-under division, Manila Patriotic School beat Jose Rizal University, 72-67.
Jeric Ramirez had 17 points, 10 rebounds and two assists for MPS in the win over JRU, which got 19 points, five rebounds and one steal from Pochi Tolentino.
Anjo Mandugao had 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals as BBA overcame Trinity, 51-40, in the 16-under division. Eric Cadiz had 18 points and nine rebounds for Trinity in the tournament organized by Got Skills and Gamboa Sports, sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and backed by Gatorade, LGR, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Basketball TV, Gerry’s Grill, Rain or Shine, Honda Cars Greenhills, FMR Bus Services, Coach Athletic Tape, Mighty Sports, Patricio’s Online Sneaker Store and Secret Fresh.
