CEU and TIP, both with 2-0 win-loss marks, clash at 12 p.m.
The Scorpions are coming off an 88-60 rout of University of Batangas, while the Engineers look to score a follow-up to a 103-83 whipping of Bulacan State University (BSU).
CEU’s 28-point win over UB is so far the biggest winning margin in the tournament.
Winless Colegio De San Lorenzo battles the BSU Gold Gears at 2 p.m.
CEU will again lean on Congolese import Rod Ebondo and Samboy De Leon.
The 6-foot-6 Ebondo will battle TIP’s 6-foot-10 Christopher Okoronkowon and 6-foot-4 Ikee Akpuru, both from Nigeria.
TIP coach Potit de Vera can also count on Jorey Napoles and John Enriquez, who scored 15 points apiece in the win over BSU (1-1).
BSU will once again rely on Dominick Fajardo who scored a tournament-high 40 points in their game against TIP in the tournament sponsored by Euro-Med and Lamoiyan Corp.
