CEBU CITY – University of San Carlos ripped Cebu Institute of Technology-University, 102-55, to even their record in the 2018 Cesafi basketball tournament on Tuesday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Warriors practically ran a layup line all game long against the hapless Wildcats, which also got blown out in their opening game against Southwestern University-Phinma.

The Warriors put themselves firmly in front in the second quarter, outscoring the Wildcats, 31-12, to establish a 48-17 halftime lead.

Team captain Lucky Ecarma and Nigerian forward Sommy Managor, the brother of University of Southern Philippines Foundation center Richy Managor, scored 16 points each to lead USC.

Roosevelt Jellanguiao added 13 markers while Justin Jules Langes pitched in 11.

Rookie Kenny Rogers Rocacurva was the lone bright spot for CIT-U, scoring 27. Former USC guard Kevin Peter Oleodo was the other double-figure scorer for the Wildcats with 11 points.
