CEBU CITY — Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu leaned on Justin Javelosa to bail them out against University of Cebu, 66-52, in the Cesafi high school basketball tournament on Sunday at the Cebu Coliseum.
The Magis Eagles saw their 13-point lead trimmed down to just four, 48-44, before Javelosa hit a triple from the wing before adding a long two from the other side to raise the Magis Eagles’ lead to 53-44.
The recruit from Bacolod later snatched an offensive board and put it back in to bring Ateneo de Cebu’s lead to 57-47, five minutes remaining.
