CEBU CITY – The University of San Carlos Warriors pulled off a stunning 89-75 upset of the University of the Visayas Green Lancers in the 16th Cesafi men’s basketball tournament on Thursday night at the Cebu Coliseum.
Playing like the reigning champions that they are for the first time this season, the Warriors led from the get-go and asserted themselves some more in the fourth quarter to secure their fifth win in nine outings. The Lancers, on the other hand, have lost three out of their last four games and have dropped to 6-3.
