CEBU CITY — Cameroonian import Landry Sanjo carried Southwestern University once again as he scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to push the undermanned Cobras back to the top with a 59-47 win over University of Cebu in the Cesafi men’s basketball tournament on Tuesday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

With starting guards Jasper Parker and Adams Mohammed along with reserve forward Daryl Goloran still in sick bay, the 6-foot-7 Sanjo delivered anew to give SWU its seventh win in eight outings, tying idle University of San Carlos.

The Webmasters were within seven after a three-pointer by Junas Misa but the Cobras uncorked an 11-3 run spearheaded by Sanjo, who scored six straight points.

Mark Jayven Tallo then hit three free throws and Bernie Bregondo added an inside lay-in off a drop pass from Melvin Holper to erect a 58-43 lead. Tallo finished with 12 points, five steals and three rebounds.
