Cebu to host EASL Final Four on March 8-10

The crowning of the undisputed champion of East Asian basketball is set to take place in Cebu, Philippines, during the East Asia Super League (EASL) 2023-24 Season Final Four from March 8 to 10.

The Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, located just outside Cebu City, will host the thrilling conclusion to the first full-length EASL season.

Jeremy Lin leads cast

Star players like Jeremy Lin from the New Taipei Kings and Yuki Togashi from the Chiba Jets are expected to showcase their skills in the Final Four.

The tournament will feature two semifinals on March 8, followed by the third place game and the championship game on March 10.

The four teams vying for the title of East Asian champions are the Seoul SK Knights (Korean Basketball League), New Taipei Kings (P. LEAGUE+), Chiba Jets (Japan B. LEAGUE), and reigning champions Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters.

Cebu, known for its rich basketball culture and producing great players, is an ideal host city. With its popularity as a travel destination and excellent transportation and accommodation options, EASL CEO Henry Kerins expressed excitement about showcasing Cebu and the Philippines to basketball fans across the region.

Ticket sales for the Final Four will soon be available on TicketMAX (www.ticketmax.ph). The historic event marks the culmination of the first season-long championship for professional teams in East Asia, ushering in a new era where the champion team is definitively determined annually in EASL.

The EASL champ bags $1M

The winning team will receive a $1 million first prize, along with the prestigious title of EASL champion. The second-placed team will earn $500,000, and the third-placed team will receive $250,000.
