Carlo Lastimosa scores 31 points for Manila in highest-scoring M-League game

    May 6, 2019

BACOOR Strike sa Serbisyo remained unbeaten while Manila-INGCO nailed a historic victory as action in the Metro League Reinforced (Second) Conference heated up at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig.

The Strikers held on to a narrow 80-77 win over home team Taguig Generals to extend their unbeaten streak to six games in this import-flavored conference backed by the MMDA and the PBA with Barangay 143 as league presentor.

Former FEU reinforcement Prince Orizu collected a near double double of 18 points and nine rebounds to pace Bacoor, which nearly lost a comfortable lead in the waning minutes.

Import Emmanuel Ojuola had his 25 points and nine rebounds wasted for Taguig which slid to 2-3 in the South Divisio.

Meanwhile, even the early struggle of the Manila Stars did not stop them from setting the season’s highest scoring record in the M-League following their huge 147-142 win over the Pasiguenos.

Ex-PBA player Carlo Lastimosa racked up 31 points and five rebounds in just 20 minutes of play to lead the Stars, who erupted for 46 markers in the first quarter alone that set the tone for the game.
