CARL Tamayo led Changwon LG Sakers to a 67-64 bounce-back win over Goyang Sono Skygunners on Sunday in the Korean Basketball League at Changwon Gymnasium.
The Gilas Pilipinas forward drained a big jumper with 1:19 to play that gave his side a 65-62 lead and the hosts held on as Min Ki Nam’s attempt at a potential game-tying three was blocked by Changwon’s Yu Ki Sang.

Tamayo finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists as the Sakers improved to 14-12.
Goyang Sono remains near the bottom of the standings at 9-17 as it awaits the arrival of Kevin Quiambao.
SJ Belangel also helped Daegu KOGAS Pegasus to an 84-77 victory over Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters at Anyang Gymnasium.
The former Ateneo guard scored 11 points. He went 1-of-8 from deep, but made up for it by contributing seven assists, three boards, and two steals to the visitors, who climbed up to 15-10.
Javi Gomez de Liano, meanwhile, was scoreless in his three minutes of action for the 7-19 Anyang, which has now lost eight straight.
