CARL Tamayo will be playing for National University in the upcoming SM-NBTC League.

Tamayo is a member of the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup, but served residency this year in the UAAP after transferring from Adamson.

Already standing at 6-foot-7, Tamayo is already making waves for the Falcons after posting doubles in Adamson’s UAAP campaign in 2016. Prior to the UAAP, Tamayo has also been dominant in the Passerelle division.

Joining the 16-year-old Tamayo are Gerry Abadiano and Kevin Quiambao, who also missed UAAP Season 80 due to residency.

They will be joined by the NU squad that finished runner-up in the Season 80 juniors basketball finals series led by Rhayyan Amsali, Terrence Fortea, and Miguel Oczon.

NU is seeded eighth in the NBTC League where the Bullpups are out to claim the national crown following their defeat at the hands of Ateneo in Season 80.
