CAMSUR extended the National Basketball League-Pilipinas President’s Cup 2024 with a 93-92 win over Taguig in Game Three on Friday night at the Ka Fuerte Sports Complex in Pili, Camarines Sur.
Jerome Almario had 24 points, eight rebounds, and five assists to help the Express build a 20-point lead and avoid a sweep by the Generals of the best-of-five championship series.
Game Four is on Saturday, 5 p.m. at the Ka Fuerte Sports Complex where Camsur will look to force a rubber match and shift the series back to Taguig.
Philip Domagtoy finished with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Verman Magpantay added 14 points for Camsur to serve as support for Almario in the contest.
LJ Mayo had 22 points and 19 rebounds, and Mike Sampurna scored 19 points for Taguig, which went on a late comeback by outscoring Camsur, 33-15, in the fourth quarter but fell short.
The Generals, eyeing for their fifth title overall and third straight President’s Cup crown, won the first two games of the finals via a 90-87 and 80-77 victories at home held at the Jun Duenas Gymnasium.
