CAMP & Play visited the Mangyan community in Puerto Galera to teach and share basketball drills in a two-day event held at the Baclayan mountain where most of the indigenous children resided.
“Every year we give back as long as our time permits us. We are blessed to travel by land, by sea and to trek this mountain just to bring Camp & Play to our indigenous brothers and sisters. They deserve to experience our scientific training," said camp director and founder Dayong Mendoza, an assistant coach of San Miguel Beer in the PBA.
Camp & Play likewise coached the children of the Stairway Foundation as part of its two-day Puerto Galera events.
Camp & Play opened its new home court at the NBS College along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City and enrolment is still ongoing for interested boys and girls. The next training opens on April 15.
Students get a chance to meet and greet the San Miguel Beermen team as part of their program.
Call 376-5090 and 0917-817-9341 and 0917-155-8208 to join. Participants learn the basics of basketball and improve their agility, jumps and speed plus team concepts for the more advanced players.
