JD Cagulangan still has Kevin Quiambao's number in Korea, as the Suwon KT Sonicboom took the 78-73 victory over Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) on Friday at Suwon KT Arena.
The UAAP Season 87 Finals MVP only had four points, four assists, and one rebound, but canned two pressure-packed free throws with 59 seconds left that put the home team up, 76-73.
Goyang Sono still had its chances, but DJ burns bungled his freebies and Quiambao got swiped by Ryan Hammonds that led to the American import sealing the game at the charity stripe.

Before that miscue, Quiambao nailed the big three that cut the Suwon KT lead to one, 74-73, with 1:22 left.
The back-to-back UAAP Season MVP finished with 18 points on 2-of-7 shooting from distance, on top of eight boards, two assists, one steal, and one block in his second game back from an ankle sprain.

This, however, was the fourth straight loss for the Skygunners who fell to 10-24.
The Sonicboom, on the other hand, extended their win streak to three to rise to 19-15.
