The Cabuyao Titans defeated the Taguig Junior Generals in overtime, 79-75, on Monday in the opening day of the National Basketball League (NBL) Youth 12-under tournament at the Hagonoy Sports Complex.
Paul Barcelona had 17 points and shot three of five threes for the Cabuyao Titans to win their first match in thrilling fashion in the 12-under division organized by the NBL.
In other 12-under results, Sean Michael Diwata had 10 points as the Quezon City Junior Rising Stars beat ICA Blue Knights, 58-37, as Ralph Montilla added 19 points as the Dasmarinas Monarchs won over the Pampanga Junior Delta, 67-58.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ferreras had 26 points as the Pampanga Junior Delta won over the Dasmarinas Monarchs, 81-69, in the 17-under division.
Jeremy Mejia had 21 points in Nueva Vizcaya Sesbreno’s 77-49 win over the Camsur NCF Tigers, while Los Banos beat the Quezon City Junior Rising Stars, 73-64.
