UNIVERSITY of Assumption-Pampanga defeated two-time champion Colegio De San Benildo-Antipolo, 79-69, on Sunday in the Division 2 finals of the Seaoil NBTC National High School Championship at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Mark Bondoc shone for the Pampanga-based squad, finishing with 20 points, 20 rebounds, and four blocks for University of Assumption, which dethroned College of San Benildo after winning two consecutive titles prior to this year’s edition.
Bondoc was later named the Most Outstanding Player of the Division 2 tournament featuring 12 squads from across the country.
