TWO teams from La Salle Greenhills notched their second straight wins in the Small Basketeers Philippines and the Passerelle contests to lead their groups in the Milo-sponsored, Best Center-organized basketball tournaments over the weekend at the Xavier School gym.
La Salle Greenhills-A dealt Notre Dame Academy of Greater Manila its first loss in two games, 69-32, and gained a share of the SBP-A lead with idle Don Bosco Technical Institute-Makati and Ateneo de Manila-B, which also have clean 2-0 records.
Host Xavier-A blasted Ateneo-A, 46-30, to share the Group B lead with Marist School, which humbled LSGH-B, 59-31. Xavier B and Marist are both at 2-0.
Lourdes School of Mandaluyong routed Lourdes School-QC, 66-21, for its first win in two matches.
In the Passerelle tournament, Chiang Kai Shek College (2-0) plastered St. Mary’s College, 85-6, for its second win and the Group A lead.
Adamson zapped Kids’ World Christian Academy, 107-47, to keep abreast with Adamson at 1-1.
In Group C, LSGH-A razed University of Santo Tomas, 69-58, for its second straight win and the lead while Ateneo-B outclassed Don Bosco Technical College, 71-36, for a 1-1 win-loss record.
