THE bill seeking for the naturalization of Bennie Boatwright has finally been approved on third and final reading by the Senate.
The Senate voted 13-0 to approve House Bill No. 6639 during a special session on Wednesday morning.
Also approved in third and final reading is House Bill No. 6644 seeking the naturalization of wrestler Matthew James Ramos with a similar 13-0 vote.
The bills were finally approved by the Senate following a crisis that was finally resolved after Sherwin Gatchalian was elected as Senate President.

The bills will now be forwarded to the President for final approval where he can sign it into law.
The bills will also be automatically enacted into law even without the signature of the President after 30 days after receipt.
