Batang Gilas entered as guest team in seniors division of Fr. Martin Cup Summer Tournament

THE Philippine national youth team is slated to see action in the 23rd Fr. Martin Cup Summer Basketball Tournament starting on Thursday at the San Beda Gym.

Batang Gilas and 34 other teams are participating in the tournament featuring competitions in men's, women's and juniors division.

The Philippine youth team will be seeing action as guest team in the seniors division, part of their preparations for next month's Seaba Under-16 Championship at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Defending champion Arellano is entered in the seniors division along with La Salle, San Beda, Emilio Aguinaldo College, NU, Letran, Centro Escolar University-A, CEU-B, Philippine Merchant Marine School, and College of St. Benilde.

Reigning women's titlist University of the East and defending juniors champion National University have also confirmed their participation, according to chief organizer Ato Badolato and commissioner Robert Dela Rosa.

The women's division also features Far Eastern University, Enderun College, University of Santo Tomas, Adamson, University of the Philippines, CSB, and La Salle.

In juniors, San Beda-Manila, San Beda-Rizal, Lyceum, EAC, Rich Golden Montessori School, La Salle Greenhills, San Sebastian College, Letran, St. Patrick School, PMMS, UST, Perpetual Help, Hope Christian School and NU are entered.
