FOLLOWING in the footsteps of their senior team, the Bacoor 17-under squad smothered Pasay, 63-41, to stay unbeaten in the 2019 Metro League Boys Basketball U17 South Division at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig.
Mikhael James Gutierrez sizzled with 18 points and three assists to spearhead the Junior Strikers who notched their second win in as many outings in this U17 tourney backed by the MMDA and the PBA with Barangay 143 as league presentor.
In the other games, Las Pinas Defenders grabbed its second straight win with a 60-55 squeaker over Taguig Generals while Solid San Juan-PC Gilmore rebounded from a tough 54-55 home loss to Caloocan with a 63-58 victory over Navotas.
Rion Natrist Porcadas added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists while Vincent Joaquin Pecho contributed 14 markers for Bacoor which opened its campaign with a dominating 86-68 win over Las Pinas last week.
