BACOLOD Tay Tung High School defeated West Negros University-STI, 83-77, in Game Three on Thursday night to win the NBTC Bacolod tournament at the Silay City gym.
Ryan Cruz had 21 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists in Game Three, earning Most Valuable Player honors for the tournament.
Marts Barrera had 17 points, and Harold Alarcon had 13 ponts for Tay Tung in the rubber match to clinch a berth in the NBTC Negros Island regionals.
BTTHS forced the decider with a 97-88 decision in after bowing in the opener, 95-87.
