BACOLOD Tay Tung High School defeated Dona Monserrat Lopez Memorial High School-Silay, 109-47, in the final of the NBTC Negros Occidental Regionals at the Leon B. Yu Sports Center in San Carlos City.
Marc Barrera had 26 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, while Harold Alarcon had 18 points as Tay Tung clinched a spot in the national championship set later this month at the Mall of Asia Arena.
BTTHS beat Tanon College-San Carlos City, 95-70, in the semifinals to arrange a championship game with Dona Monserrat, which beat Don Julio Ledesma National High School, 77-57.
