BACOLOD felt home even as it played at the San Andres Sports Complex, comfortably getting past Muntinlupa.
Bacolod drew oohs and aahs from the decent sized Friday crowd with dazzling acrobatic finishes, flashy passes and chasedown blocks.
Head coach Vic Ycasiano said the team drew so much support because of their "no nonsense" basketball.
"'Yung will to win namin, pag naglaro kami no nonsense basketball. We just have to grind it. Pinipiga namin 'yong isa't isa," Ycasiano said.
Flashy guard Mac Tallo, who registered 10 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks, was one of the darlings of the crowd with his all-around play.
Ycasiano and Tallo felt at home in Manila because of the crowd support given to Bacolod, the reason?
Justin Valencia
