ATENEO de Manila enters the Passerelle quarterfinals unscathed after a 72-22 rout of St. Paul College Makati over the weekend in the SBP-Passerelle twin basketball tournament at the Xavier School gym.
It was the Eaglets’ fourth straight win, earning them the top quarterfinals slot in Group D and a showdown with 0azareth School, which clobbered Notre Dame, 77-28, in Group B.
San Beda College-Rizal topped Group B with three straight wins, the last at the expense of Lourdes School-Mandaluyong, 64-42, and will head into Sunday's quarterfinal showdown with idle La Salle Greenhills-B.
Other quarterfinal matches pit Chiang Kai Shek College (3-0) vs Ateneo-B (3-1) and Adamson (2-1) vs University of Santo Tomas (4-0).
In the SBP Division, La Salle Greenhills-A ended its elimination round campaign with a clean 5-0 slate in Group A by trashing St. Mary's College (0-6), 82.25.
Group B also saw host Xavier bagging its fifth straight triumph at the expense of Lourdes School-QC (0-4), 67-7.
