ATENEO-B and Don Bosco Technical Institute-Makati beat separate rivals for their second straight wins and the Group A lead over the weekend in the Small Basketeers Philippines competition of the Best Center-organized SBP-Passerelle twin tournaments at the Xavier School gym.
The Blue Eaglets nipped Chiang Kai Shek College, 34-32, to gain a share of the lead with Don Bosco, which dealt St. Mary's College its second straight defeat, 41-23.
Notre Dame College of Greater Manila defeated host Xavier School-B, 35-24, for its first win.
In Group B, La Salle Greenhills-B clobbered Lourdes School-QC, 54-9, while Xavier-A whipped Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, 64-33, to gain a share of the lead with idle Marist School with a win each.
Nazareth School downed Lourdes-Mandaluyong, 55-32, for its first win and a share of the early lead with idle San Beda College-Rizal in Group B of the Passerelle Division.
St. Augustine International School whipped Don Bosco Technical College, 52-33, in Group C of the Milo-sponsored tournament.
Ateneo routed DBTI-Makati, 86-32, and Xavier School humbled St. Paul College-Makati, 66-35.
