CHIANG Kai Shek College, Ateneo and eight other teams have signified their intention to join the 2nd Headstart Development Basketball League Freego Kids Cup, which starts on May 14 at the SGS gym in Quezon City.
Organized by Headstart Sports Academy, the tournament provides aspiring athletes a league where they can excel and develop their basketball skills.
“We hope to serve as a vehicle in the development of promising and gifted young athletes in support of the country’s sports development programs,” said event organizer Edster Sy.
On tap are competitions in the 12-years-old and the 15-years and below categories.
Interested participants have until May 9 to confirm their participation in the annual event.
Willy Chan is the tournament director.
Also seeing action are San Sebastian College, Masterbox, Grace Christian College, Pace Academy, Notre Dame Caloocan, Batang PBA Pasig, Jubilee Christian Academy and Notre Dame of Greater Manila.
