Aroga stands out as NU Bulldogs finally show sign of life in post-Parks era

REDEN Celda led six National University in double figures with 20 points as the Bulldogs outclassed General Santos City-based Holy Trinity College, 106-67, on Friday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

Alfred Aroga had 16 points and 11 rebounds, JJ Alejandro had 14 points, and the Bulldogs won their first game in this year’s tournament following the departure of two-time UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks.

The Bulldogs, last year’s runner-up to University of the East, also had 13 points from Troy Rosario, 12 from Gelo Alolino, and 10 from Glenn Khobuntin in showing their might against Wildcats.

NU outscored HTC, 34-14, in the third period for the game-breaking run.
