DONALD Gumaru delivered a dominating performance to lead Arellano to an 80-38 romp over Diliman College in the 25-under division of the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard basketball tournament at the Lyceum gym.
Gumaru, who saw action for Arellano in the NCAA Season 91 tournament, had 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals for the Chiefs, who joined Adamson at the top of Group B with a 4-0 card.
In other results, Ramil Tero led St. Clare College with 12 points and seven rebounds in a 60-54 win over College of Saint Benilde - a big bounce back from its first loss of the tournament, a 61-65 loss to Enderun Colleges.
St. Clare improved to 5-1.
In the 13-under division, Matthew Concepcion had 18 points as La Salle Greenhills-B beat Chiang Kai Shek College, 50-44, for its eighth win in as many tries in the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas-sanctioned tournament sponsored by Milcu, Gatorade, LGR, Slam Philippines, Mighty Sports, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Secret Fresh Ronac, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Magic 89.9, Enderun Colleges, and Lyceum.
