AP Manlapaz and Ken Tuffin lorded in the side events of the 2019 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup All-Star on Saturday.
Manlapaz, the Adamson rookie, was the only one to convert his dunk in the championship round as he made his off-the-bounce two-handed reverse slam to nab 45 points from the judges.
His Finals competitors were not able to convert on their tries, as NU's Adama Faye failed to make his windmill attempts, as UST's Rhenz Abando missed his off-the-bounce one-handed 360 slam tries.
Tuffin, on the other hand, claimed the Three-Point Shootout title as he buried 20 points in the final round.
The Far Eastern University sniper bested University of the Philippines' Pio Longa, who shot 16, and National University's Migs Oczon, who had 15, in the championship phase.
Also making it to the final round are Mapua's JP Nieles, Letran's Allen Mina, EAC's Jethro Mendoza, UST's Sherwin Concepcion, and CEU's Rich Guinitaran.
