ANDREI Caracut had 18 points, Joshua Torralba with 17, and De La Salle defeated Southwestern University, 90-80, for its fourth straight win in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup Saturday night.
The Green Archers improved to 4-1 overall as Caracut, a rookie, and Torralba, now eligible to play for the school after transferring from Emilio Aguinaldo College, again answered the call of the team.
Former Green Archer Mark Tallo had 17 points for the Cobras, who are off to a 0-2 start in the preseason campaign.
In other seniors match, Alfred Batino had 20 points and 13 rebounds as Centro Escolar University claimed another powerhouse team by beating University of Santo Tomas, 82-77.
The Scorpions climbed to a 5-1 win-loss slate.
CEU spoiled the effort of UST’s Ed Daquioag and Kevin Ferrer, who fired 34 and 28 points respectively, for the 2-3 Tigers.
