THE Alvin Pasaol-led 1Bataan Risers get another shot at a spot in the Doha Masters of the 2019 Fiba 3x3 World Tour when they see action in the Chooks-to-Go 3x3 Asia Pacific Super Quest from April 6 to 7 at SM Megamall Fashion Hall.
The Risers are hoping to join Pasig Grindhouse, which has qualified for the Doha tilt after ruling the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President's Cup on Sunday.
"With the Super Quest, we want to show the region that we can compete with the world’s best in 3×3 basketball,” shared league commissioner Eric Altamirano.
The Risers and Kings join a field featuring Ulaanbataar, 15th in the world 3x3 rankings, and Tokyo Dime, ranked 19th.
Also joining the Super Quest are SSLC of China, Jakarta West Bandits of Indonesia, TSV Reading Cinema of Australia, Aotearoa of New Zealand, Enerskin of Korea, Absolute 3X3 Basketball of Chinese Taipei, Saigon Aces of Vietnam and Anytours M1 of Hong Kong.
The winner bags $20,000 (around P1 million), with the top two teams earning their tickets to Qatar for the Doha Masters from April 18 to 19 and the Penang Challenger in China from May 11 to 12.
The third and fourth placers advance to the Huaqiao International Kunshan Challenger in China set May 18 to 19.
