FINISHING as runner-up in the President's Cup, 1Bataan Risers are still aiming to make the country proud as they join the Pasig Grindhouse Kings as the country's representatives in this weekend's Chooks-to-Go 3x3 Asia Pacific Super Quest.
Alvin Pasaol said that the team will try to make the most of its opportunity as they mix it up with some of the best 3x3 teams in the continent.
"Sobrang tuwa din namin dahil kasama pa rin kami sa Super Quest," said the UE star.
The Risers finished in second place with 405 points through the five legs to earn its place in the Super Quest.
However, the Risers will have their hands full in Pool B, where it will take on world no. 19 Tokyo Dime.exe of Japan and Hong Kong's Anytours M1, led by former Alab Pilipinas import Reggie Okosa.
"Siguro dagdag pressure din sa amin dahil malalakas ang mga makakalaban namin sa Super Quest," said Pasaol. "Pero kakayanin namin kasi nirerepresent namin ang Pilipinas. Laban pa rin kami."
The Risers enter the Super Quest with reinforcements, as Pasaol and Santi Santillan team up with Karl Dehesa of the Vigan Baluarte Wolves and former G-Leaguer Travis Franklin. They especially need to finish in the group's top two to advance to the knockout playoffs.
"Malaking tulong sila sa amin dahil sa experience nila. Yun na lang ang kailangan naming ayusin, yung chemistry dahil kailangan pa rin naming magkakilala ng lalo," he said.
