ALMOND Vosotros continued his solid play and Caloocan scored its second straight win, beating Imus, 74-69, on Wednesday in the MPBL Datu Cup at the Imus Sports Complex.
Vosotros had 21 points as Caloocan improved its win-loss record to 4-8 in the tough northern division.
The 5-foot-10 guard from La Salle, who had a brief stint playing in the PBA for the Blackwater Elite, averaged 22 points in his first two games with Caloocan.
Imus slipped to 5-6 after suffering their third straight loss.
Meanwhile, Valenzuela got back on the winning track as it played its first game under coach Eric Samson as the Idol Cheesedogs won over the Pampanga Lanterns-ADG Construction, 90-82.
Paolo Hubalde scored 25 and had 10 reboundsfor Valenzuela.
Kido Cabrera and Chris de Chavez added 11 points apiece while Floyd Dedicatoria and Ford Ruaya chipped in 10 each.
Samson was tapped to replace former PBA coach Chris Gavina.
Gavina stepped down form his post after the Idols struggled in the elimination round, paving the way for the entry of Samson.
