JERRICK Ahanmisi's torrid shooting steered Adamson to a 33-point rout of an undermanned Lyceum squad, 96-63, in the battle for third place in the 2019 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup on Sunday.
The fourth-year shooter went 8-of-13 from beyond the arc to pour in 31 points to go with three rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Ahanmisi's early explosion allowed Adamson to break away right in the first half, 44-25.
Jerom Lastimosa provided support with his 15 points, six assists, four boards, and two steals, while Simon Camacho had 14 points, six boards, three steals, and two dimes.
Congolese big man Lenda Douanga also grabbed 12 rebounds, to go with seven points in the win.
The Pirates missed the services of injured players Mike Nzeusseu (jammed right index finger) and Jaycee Marcelino (nasal contusion). Coach Topex Robinson also sat out Jayvee Marcelino and Toci Tansingco.
Rhanzelle Yong paced Lyceum with 20 points and three boards, as Enoch Valdez got 16 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
