LETRAN and Chiang Kai Shek College scored big wins to gain a share of the lead in the 14th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup juniors basketball tournament at the San Beda gym.
Adriane Magada, son of former amateur standout Mar Anthony Magada, had 17 points for the Squires in an 81-69 win over Makati Gospel College for a 2-0 win-loss slate.
Rafael Toribio scored 11 as the Blue Dragons downed San Beda, 88-60, to share first place in Group A of the juniors division.
Letran also got 12 points for John Bergantino while Argyl Gardon had three triples in the fourth as the Squires pulled away, 52-44.
In seniors play, San Beda-A defeated Centro Escolar University, 57-50, for its second win in Group B.
San Beda-B also beat CEU-B, 58-50, while Mary The Queen College beat University of Perpetual Help-Molino, 70-51.
Jose Rizal University-B beat Adamson, 64-54, while Arellano overcame Diliman Preparatory School, 61-53.
