ADAMSON limited Jose Rizal University to only 10 points in the fourth quarter to pull off a 69-65 victory on Wednesday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at The Arena in San Juan.
The Falcons overcame a 49-55 deficit in the fourth to take an even 2-2 card in Group A.
Jericho Cruz scored 24 points, while Rodney Brondial had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons, who are having a roller-coaster campaign in the preseason tournament.
Ingrid Sewa had 11 points and seven boards for Adamson.
It was JRU’s fourth loss in five outings.
Philip Paniamogan had 18 points and four triples for the Heavy Bombers, who appeared to have the game in control after the third period only to sputter in the fourth.
Philip Mabulac added 14 points for JRU.
