The brother of Rain or Shine rookie Maverick scored 26 points, 17 in the first half, and had five rebounds, three assists, and two steals for the Falcons.

“The downside here is with him making a name for himself, he’s going to be a marked man,” said Adamson coach Franz Pumaren of Ahanmisi.

The Knights were just four points behind, 73-77, with five minutes to play but Falcons Rob Manalang and Papi Sarr scored five unanswered points to extend the lead.

Manalang finished with 15 points and Sarr added 12.

Rey Nambatac scored 18 points for Letran, which absorbed its second consecutive loss after an opening- day victory.
