Adama Diakhite leads Diliman College to victory over Arellano Chiefs

ADAMA Diakhite scored 21 points as Diliman College defeated Arellano, 69-59, in the 2017 Republica Cup collegiate division basketball tournament at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

Kris Torrado added 14 points, while Rickson Guerrero added 13 for the Blue Dragons as they finished their elimination round with a 3-2 win-loss slate.

The Blue Dragons limited the Chiefs to just three field goals in the final period, outscoring them, 21-9.

Michael Canete contributed 17 points for the Chiefs, who slipped to 1-2 for fourth place in the team standings.

Arellano lost the game after leading by two points, 50-48, after three quarters.
