The Valientes clinched a spot in the quarterfinals on Sunday morning by nipping Bali United of Indonesia, 18-17, to salvage their campaign after going winless in the group stage in Pool D of the ABL 3x3 International Champions Cup.
The team of Rene Cunanan, David Sebastian, Jeffrey Bernado, and RJ Argamino lost to VN Red & Gold of Vietnam, 21-12, to end their campaign.

The Valientes earlier lost to Indonesia Patriots A, 21-12, and to Sniperx of Thailand, 21-8.
Platinum Karaoke Philippines also advanced to the quarterfinals after a sweep of Pool Cand was set to take on Ahmedabad 3BL Indonesia in the last eight.
