KIEFER Ravena is right on schedule to be fit in time to see action for Alab Pilipinas at the start of the Asean Basketball League (ABL) semifinals against the Singapore Slingers.
Alab coach Mac Cuan said Ravena will likely be ready to play for the third-seeded Philippine side in Game One of their best-of-three series against the second-ranked Slingers.
Game One is slated on April 2 in Singapore with the Slingers holding a homecourt advantage in the series.
"Maganda 'yung progress ng recovery niya so he could be ready for Game One," said Cuan.
Ravena flew to the United States to fast-track the recovery of his right hand which he injured during his stint with Mighty Sports in a Dubai invitational tournament.
Ravena's presence should be a big boost to the title hopes of Alab, which snapped a three-game losing slump and clinched the No. 3 seed in the semifinals with a win over Hong Kong Eastern on Sunday in Davao City.
The win hiked Alab's record to 10-9 ahead of its final game of the regular season on the road at Kaohsiung.
