    Dec 23, 2018

SAN Miguel Alab Pilipinas finished the year on a high note, beating the Singapore Slingers, 77-71, on Sunday at the Caloocan Sports Complex to keep its unbeaten slate going in the Asean Basketball League.

The reigning champion will enter 2019 on top of the standings, winning its third straight home game to extend its best start in franchise history.

PJ Ramos played his best game thus far this season, finishing with 26 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists for Alab Pilipinas, while Renaldo Balkman had 20 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks.

Bobby Ray Parks had 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals for Alab, which pulled away in the second period with an 8-0 run highlighted by a slam by Brandon Rosser to increase its one-point lead to a 30-21 gap.
